As the post-processing equipment of the screw air compressor, the air dryer is an indispensable part of the air compressor. However, due to the various types of air dryers on the market, users are more distressed when choosing, so how to choose a suitable air dryer? We can start from the following aspects:
1. Choose according to the exhaust temperature and exhaust pressure of the screw air compressor.
When the exhaust gas temperature is higher than 35°C, it should be considered to install an after-cooler before the air dryer and the oil removal filter to reduce the temperature of the gas below 35°C. When the exhaust pressure is lower than 0.5 MPa, it is not suitable to use a non-heat regeneration and micro-heat regeneration dryer, and an external heating, waste heat, and internal heat regeneration drying device with a large filling capacity and deep adsorption should be used. When the exhaust pressure is lower than 0.2 MPa, it should be treated after the refrigerated refrigerated dryer with a thermal regenerative drying device to obtain a better drying effect below -40°C.
2. Choose according to the type of screw air compressor.
If an oil-lubricated compressor is used and its oil content index is >15mg/m3, it should be equipped with a high-efficiency precision filter and an externally heated micro-heat regenerative air dryer.
