In summer, the most common failure of air compressors is high temperatures.
The exhaust temperature of the air compressor is too high in the summer, and the continuous exhaust temperature is too high, which will lead to a decrease in production efficiency, double the wear and tear of the equipment, and shorten the life of the equipment. Therefore, it is very important to do a good job in high temperature preventive measures of air compressors to ensure the normal production of enterprises.
1. Ambient temperature
In summer, the ventilation system of the air compressor station building should be improved as much as possible. The exhaust fan can be added to the air pressure station room, and the air inlet and exhaust outlet are placed on the wall facing the outdoor open space to discharge the hot air of the air pressure station room, thereby reducing the temperature.
Heat sources with high temperatures cannot be placed around the air compressor. If the temperature around the machine is high, the suction air temperature is too high, and the oil temperature and the exhaust temperature will increase accordingly.
2. Amount of lubricating oil
Check the amount of oil, if the oil level is lower than the normal range, you should stop immediately, add the appropriate amount of lubricating oil, to prevent the unit from high temperature. The oil quality of the lubricating oil is poor, the oil is easy to deteriorate after the use time, the fluidity becomes poor, the heat exchange performance decreases, and it is easy to cause the heat of the air compressor head to be completely taken away and make the air compressor high temperature.
4. Cooler
Check whether the cooler is blocked, the most direct impact of the cooler blockage is the poor heat dissipation performance, making the unit high temperature. Remove debris and clean the clogged cooler to prevent the compressor from overheating.
Check whether the cooling fan and fan motor are normal and whether there is any failure.
5. Temperature sensor
A malfunction of the temperature sensor can cause a false alarm that the temperature rise is too high, causing downtime. If the temperature control valve fails, the lubricating oil may enter the machine head directly without passing through the cooler, so that the oil temperature cannot be reduced, resulting in high temperature.
In short, a small operation negligence may cause our air compressor to have high temperature failure, so in our daily air compressor operation, we must abide by the air compressor operating procedures, correctly let our air compressor serve us, improve our work efficiency.
